Day 6 - Favorite Male Companion
Anyone else recruit Garrus as soon as possible in every game, and take him with you on every single mission? And get the Turian Ally achievement without knowing there was one? Because, yeah, that’s me.
Of all the companions, we see the most of Garrus – he’s in the throes of figuring out what to do with his life, and Shepard undoubtedly affects his path. He goes through the most complete character arc, from being in need of a mentor, leaving C-Sec, his stint as Archangel where he really loses his way; finally, he reconciles with his father, is given a “Reaper task force,” and becomes a military consultant. He’s a turian rebel, a pragmatic renegade, a total badass on the battlefield – and, if romanced, also bumbling and awkward. I love that.
And, my number one reason is his loyalty. He’s the only companion from ME1 who doesn’t question Shepard when you meet up with them in ME2. If he’s romanced, their relationship only strengthens in ME3. He’s behind Shepard 100%.
